The name Life Fitness is virtually synonymous with their famous Lifecycle exercise bike, but Life Fitness offer much more. One of the world's leading manufacturer of fitness equipment, they consistently produce top quality cardiovascular and strength training equipment.

In addition to the Lifecycle, Life Fitness also sell treadmills, elliptical cross trainers, and a variety of home gyms.  Their Product Management and Engineering Team is the industry’s largest and most diverse group of electrical, mechanical, and software engineers, all dedicated to designing innovative and effective workout equipment.

 

Background:

Life Fitness began in the late 1960s when Keene Dimick developed the Lifecycle 2000 exercise bike, the first piece of fitness equipment with a computer to give the user feedback.  By 2000 they had sold over 500,000 Lifecycle exercise bikes, and it has subsequently been joined by over 300 other pieces of cardio and strength training fitness equipment.

Highlights include the introduction of a stepper, elliptical trainers, and rowers in the 1980s, while in 1990 they introduced the FlexDeck to its treadmill range and purchased Hammer Strength and ParaBody.
